(VIWMA) and
the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority
(WAPA) are pleased to co‐host the 18th Annual
Caribbean Water and
Wastewater Association's 2009 Conference and Exhibition.
This year's conference will be held in Charlotte Amalie, St.
Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands from October 4‐10, 2009 at the
Marriott Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Resort. We would
like to extend an invitation to you and your company to join
us at this year's conference by participating in one of
several ways

The week begins with
the High Level Session on Sunday and Monday, October 4‐5,
2009, hosted by the Inter‐America Development Bank, the
Office of the Governor, the Department of Tourism, the VI
Waste Management Authority and the VI Water and Power
Authority. The HLS sessions will give island country
leaders in public utilities the opportunity to network and
exchange ideas on issues that impact our island
environments.
Sunday and Monday,
October 4th ‐ 5th will also feature training opportunities
for water, wastewater and solid waste operators, sponsored
by the Inter‐America Development Bank.
The Opening Ceremony
and Opening of the Exhibit Hall will be held on Monday
evening, October 5, 2009. Technical Sessions will commence
on Tuesday, October 6th continuing on Wednesday, October 7th
and half day on Thursday,
October 8th.
The Virgin Islands’
hosts will afford their visitors an option of social and
cultural activities each evening.
The Awards Ceremony
will be held on Thursday evening, October 8th with the
recognition of local professionals who have made significant
contributions in the fields of water, wastewater and/or
solid waste.
Friday, October 10th is
a field day with technical tours to the VI Water and Power
Authority’s and VI Waste Management Authority’s facilities.
The week promises to be
one of education, networking and entertainment. We look
